Moynish House B&B.jpg

If you love scenery and the rugged Irish scenery of the west, then look no further than Mulranny. Situated along the Wild Atlantic Way, this beautiful town offers a whole range of amenities for all the family. Moynish House offers the ideal base from which to enjoy all these amenities.

At Moynish House

During the winter months a warm turf fire awaits in our fully licensed cosy bar which is frequented by both locals and guests. On occasion we have traditional music with a card night every week!

The Great Western Greenway

The Great Western Greenway runs from Acill, through to Mulranny and then onto Newport and finishing in Westport (or vice versa!). This 42km stretch is the longest off road stretch in Ireland, ideal for walkers and cyclists alike. It follows the route of the old railway and is perfect for those who want to keep away from all the hustle and bustle of the traffic and simply experience Ireland at its best. At Moynish House, we offer storage facilities for bicycles during your stay. For people hiring bicycles there are several Bicycle Hire companies available locally.

The Wild Atlantic Way

“where land and sea collide”. The Wild Atlantic Way has proved to be a hugely popular tourist attraction in the west of Ireland. This route goes from Donegal right down to Cork, where you can see the rugged coast in all its beauty. Whether you are choosing to do the entire route, or simply just a portion, Mulranny is the perfect place to stop off. You can walk, cycle or even drive along the route, enjoying all there is to offer, beautiful scenery, surfing and of course plenty of craic.

Water sports

Mulranny has a stunning coastline and of course offers ample opportunity for those who love the water. Catch a few waves, or simply take a dip!

Beaches

Many people think of the beach as a place to relax and lie out on a sunny day. While this is true, the beach can be an excellent place to simply take a stroll. On a windy day, wrapping up well and going for a stroll can be a great way to clear the cobwebs.

Seaweed Harvesting

Mulranny has various seaweed harvesting days throughout the year. Learn about the different types, gather seaweed and find out how you can use them at home. Many are edible and you can learn some delicious recipes for breads etc.

Fishing

There are lots of fishing opportunities here in Mulranny, sea, fresh water etc. Mulranny is a paradise for both Shore and Sea Anglers. River Angling is available locally in Ballycroy on the Owenduff River and in Newport on the Black Oak River

Golf

For Golf enthusiasts, Mulranny Golf Links is in only a two minute drive from our Guesthouse. This nine hole golf course is popular with locals and tourists.
